Gav 1,708
domed all round for me Quote Link to post
Guest buster321c
RWS superdomes suit my S400 and even mossies , would`nt waste time with pointed as they fly all over the place unless each point is accuratly shaped and in the center of the pellet , but still , domes had a better punch and are always best for hunting Quote Link to post
hiho 5
i used to yuse pointed but they just fly straight through whatever your shooting as i found out the hard way the pellet went through the rabbits head hit a bit of tin roofing sheet ricoched off and hit me in the shoulder it only left a bruise but it hurt at the time now i use domed pellets but i carnt se a change in accuracy like other people say (from changing pellets) i didnt need to re zero my sights to be honest Quote Link to post
comanche 2,910
Once again a nooby question but yeeh what would be the best for hunting birds/rabbits? what would be the best for practise? As everyone is saying", Domed, we're all domed". As for practice? Obviously you should practice and set your sights up with the same pellet you are going to use for work. Quote Link to post

meinnotts 1
domed, forget all the others apart from maybe flatheads for close range, 15 yds ish Quote Link to post
abley 0
Well I always prefered flatheads or super h when i was shooting .177 which was over the legal limit as otherwise it wasn't getting clean kills. But that is specific to my air rifle at the time. Horses for courses Quote Link to post
Sgt.McMuffin 0
cheers for the info guys Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
Flippen 'ek..don't often see that sort of agreement...but I go along with it too Domed for Hunting and practice...you MUST use the same, they will fly differently if not and any difference in cost is a false economy!
