Guest JohnGalway Posted August 23, 2008 Report Share Posted August 23, 2008 Divide the Magnification by the Objective lens size and you get the Exit PupilFor low light levels they recommended an Exit pupil of 5 or over but we were talking about Binoculars... Butch I think for scopes the magic number is 7. This is why you see fixed mag scopes being multiples of seven or very close such as 6x42, 7x50 and 8x56. 42/6=7, 50/7=7.14, 56/8=7. Quote Link to post
