Basic Scope Question

Divide the Magnification by the Objective lens size and you get the Exit Pupil

For low light levels they recommended an Exit pupil of 5 or over but we were talking about Binoculars...

I think for scopes the magic number is 7. This is why you see fixed mag scopes being multiples of seven or very close such as 6x42, 7x50 and 8x56. 42/6=7, 50/7=7.14, 56/8=7.
