Sgt.McMuffin 0
So at the moment i have a loser 4 x 20 scope on my gun, i was wondering is there much difference from that to a 4 x 32 scope, or should i just spend the money and get a proper scope. If you have any suggestions can you give the full name of the scope and how much you got it or seen it for. Edited August 18, 2008 by Sgt.McMuffin Quote Link to post

Sgt.McMuffin 0
i currently have a 4 x 20 scope on my gun, i was wondering weather getting a 4 x 32 will make much difference? Quote Link to post
tonetone 0
i have a 4x28 on my air rifle and it is ok. i also have a 3-9 x 40 on my 22lr. the increase in lense diameter is really noticeable. i would recommend getting the larger lense, they make your field of view better, let in more light even if your magnification is still the same. cheers tone Quote Link to post
Sgt.McMuffin 0
at the moment am looking to see if the 4 x 32 is gonna be better than a 4 x 20 for a quick soultion, later in the year i will look to buying a proper scope and my new gun. Quote Link to post

hiho 5
it would have the same ammount of zoom but a bigger field of view by a propper scope did you mean one with variable zoom levals because if you did a cheap 3-9x?(whatever) shouldnt set you back much ask your local gunshop if you can look through some scopes if your not sure Quote Link to post

Little Butch 16
The 4x32 has a bigger objective lense so therefore will be better at low light levels. Butch Quote Link to post
Vegeta 0
yeah as the guys say going to a 4x32 will give you a wider dield of view i.e. you can see more in the scope AND it will transmit more light, so may be better in the evening and early morning there is no improvement in magnification, they are both 4 times magnification. So objects will not increase in size and it may be just as hard to place an accurate shot. Are there improvements, yes, field of view and light transmission. Is there a downside, yes, no improvement in magnification so still difficult for total accurate shot placement. What would I recommend, a variable mag scope up to 9 or 12 times mag. Make it easier to put lead on the critters Quote Link to post

WebbyUK 0
mate the 20 or 32 both refer to the objective size 20mm and 32mm and the 4 is the magnification. Like what others said i'd go for at least a 3x9x40 (3 times zoom to 9 times with a 40 mm lens on the end ) Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Try here.. http://www.jsramsbottom.com/cgi-bin/jsr.cg...mp;z=0&aP=0 it is true..you do not have to spend a fortune..the JSR scopes are very good value for money!! Quote Link to post
Little Butch 16
Divide the Magnification by the Objective lens size and you get the Exit Pupil For low light levels they recommended an Exit pupil of 5 or over but we were talking about Binoculars...
