traning with mice

When we were kids we used to lift sheets of corrugated-tin on motorway-embankments and waste-ground so the terriers could catch short-tailed field-voles and woodmice,never heard of lurchers being used though,not to say it doesnt happen?

I think you'll find that mice are now on the "banned" list with dogs. They were added after deerhound owners complained about neck injuries whilst there dogs were reaching for the mice in long grass.......

Ive heard people claim they have a dog capable of pulling down a mouse single-handed ,but have yet to see it! :thumbdown:
