mackem 26,715
Its not that Adam, its just sometimes you get a craving, you HAVE to fish a water, lampers are the same, they see an estate and they HAVE to do it,can YOU resist temptation Quote Link to post
Malt 379
you guys are crazy. its very hard to shake the habit of poaching there is something magical about going into the realm of the elite and taking the privelage you could never afford or be considered good enough to be part of. its almost the same feeling as knocking one into a rich girl whos mummy and daddy just would not approve. POACHERS? Good god man, they're not poachers, they're in the business of 'relocating' excess fish to other areas. If it wasn't for all the their hard work, the rivers, ponds & streams of this great country would be in a hell of a mess. Quote Link to post
maty j 6
Crazy prices But it takes all sorts Quote Link to post
mackem 26,715
Just had brown-trout chillie fish-cakes,beautiful,far superior to rainbows, theres a distinct flavour in a river fish, sweeter, just something about it,oh well, better get ready, off chasing rainbows Quote Link to post
maty j 6
I still haven't had any of them small brownies I was going to try. I'll have to get a good recipe for them and go fishing. Your slacking today aren't you? The post about the nights escapade is usually up at this time?? Quote Link to post

J Darcy 5,871
May i hazard a gues that you were perhaps using "Sawyers killer bug" pattern, but maybe a few ever-so-slightly subtle differences. Oh yes, sounds like a spiffing time. Did you have a break in the fishermans hut for lunch of quails eggs and the fairly-standard salmon and cucumber sandwhiches? And i hope you all wore tweeds to walk the hallowedbanks. Weather does look a tad overcast mind, i hope you managed a slight discount for this. p.s, oh and joe, they dont taste of cucumber.lol Quote Link to post
mackem 26,715
Joe,I am beginning to think your "Cucumber" comment was a p**s-take at my expense Having a giggle at my innocence of the subject? If its a £300 discount and I left a quid am I in credit at that particular venue,a return invite perhaps?BEAT 1 next time I am eating Tiger-prawn,Trout and Calamari Paella, eaten too much Quote Link to post
Guest smashygadge
Tweed NO more like realtree and balaclavas. Salmon and cucumber afraid we didnt have those either but i did have a chicken pasty and can of redbull Cucumber who would even eat a grayling We did manage a slight discount due to the poor weather conditions. It was somewhere around the £300 mark very nice is grayling joe i used to eat quite my fare share its as good as trout and a little more taste give it a try bud Quote Link to post
mackem 26,715
Ok Smashy, you twisted our arms,I suppose we HAVE to go back then, this is proving expensive unless you would care to donate £295 for a return trip? You dont want us to be ignorant to the gourmet delights of grayling do you? mackem 26,715
"What we normally hear?"Ahhhh.....BEE-BAW,BEE-BAW,BEE-BAW,the local national anthem?Mackem, that siren sounds as if its getting closer "Lets just walk over near the weighing-hut"........."Do you think he saw us?"......."Nah mate, not a chance"........."F**K Why is he parked there then " Quote Link to post
mackem 26,715
I prefer the up-market venues Better class of clientel(us) And we certainly aint going to find someone parked-up and administering self-abuse unless its the riparian-owner in which case we take pics and blackmail the wa**er Quote Link to post
