jigsaw 11,863
I was asked to put a thread up about a litter of deerhounds that are hopefully on the way.The sire and dam can be seen on my old threads. The parents are ultimate workers, they take everything, and I mean EVERYTHING worth taking. There is 8 generations of Working deerhounds in this line.No show blood whatsoever has been added to these dogs.If anyone is interested in a pup from this line let me know and I will put you in touch with the breeder. The dogs are mainly hare dogs but take fox etc also.Surprisingly the parents also take rabbit well. The sire is a modest 28 inches to the shoulder and the bitch is a fraction smaller.More info is to come as soon as things progress as planned.Anyone interested let me know as this is a 1 off litter, the sire is 8 years old and the bitch 4 and the breeding is to secure a pup for the future and keep the line. These ARE the real deal I assure you. jigsaw 11,863
the breeder of these dogs is SHANEHOUND on this site, hes new to the puter craic and is just getting his head around the works of it.He also informed me the dog is actually 29 inches and the bitch is 30.i got that bit wrong, from what ive been told hes selling them for£500.The dog is old now but in his day he was a great dog.He can still frighten the beejeepers out of the hares, either on the flat fields or up on the hill.He was fast and fearless.I just rang Shanehound to get his ass on here but I got no reply,he'll fill in all the blanks about these two dogs.to see these two work a hare on the hill makes the hair stand up on the back of yer neck.As they say ''TO BE CONTINUED'' Quote Link to post
