tynetyke 0
I finished the ice man this week. Took me about 4 days to read aswell, i couldnt put it down. Did it make anyone else laugh that he thought it imoral to cheat on his wife but enjoyed feeding live people to rats. I was gutted when he got caught aye, did giggle at that mate and how he said he would never hurt a woman or child but used to kick f**k out of his 'lady' and how he cut the nipples off his ex wife for catching her with his supposed pal i too was gutted when he got caught and when i finished the book Edited September 28, 2008 by tynetyke

spike 0
More a historical semi-fiction type - Conn Iggulden's books are a great read. I never thought I'd like them at all, but I've read the lot in short order.

bolio 51
I'm a fan of Wilbur Smiths, big, bold adventure stories for grown up boys. Mostly based in his native Africa during the early pioneering years and featuring larger than life characters making, and sometimes losing their fortunes by hard work and guile. The plots are embellished with meticulously researched history of that continent and he always gives dignity to the native peoples encountered by the European lead characters as they carve a civilisation out of the wilderness. My favourite would have to be "The Sunbird" but once you read the Sean Courtney trilogy, beginning with "The Lion Feeds", you'll find other books of Smiths that feature Courtney ancesters and decendants and build up a whole dynasty over several hundred years of history. My favourite non fiction author is Richard Dawkins. His "The God Delusion" is imho the most lucid expression of logic and reason I've ever read.
