Guest clash
hi all dont know if this has been covered before but here it goes any wayam looking for a good read and was wanting to hear your recommendations and favourite books. i peronally like biographies especially about villians, paul ferris, kenneth noye, curtis warren were good reads and real eye openers. but my favoute book by a landslide has to be PAPILLON (henry charriere) read it about half a dozen times never tire of it blows the film out the water. it is exactly what it says on the cover THE GREATEST TRUE STORY OF ESCAPE AND ADVENTURE EVER WRITTEN so lets here yours cheers tt firstly if im remembering right Papillon was book/film was far from an accurate account. I admit i was took in by the book many moons ago but after reading the follow up BANCO & seeing a documentary i changed my mind. Try the book on Richard Kuklinski. If anyone escaped his grasp they deserve a book to be made on them !!
Ballybricken 1
The Guv'nor is a cracking read, wouldnt say the Lenny wasa villian though. The Last God Father by Reg Mckay is a good read justy finished that , its about Arthur Thompson. Read both auto biographies by the Kray twins and the one they did together, they're ok. Freddie Foremans book was a good read as was Chris Lambrionou's. Few others woth a look are On the Cobbles and The Cage.
Malt 379
I like the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett. Jeremy Clarkson's books are a good read as well, very funny.
