WEIRD DEATH

Recommended Posts

A member in here (Anythingoes) almost lost two of his lurchers in a similar fashion.....it was a couple of summers ago and he had both dogs in a local loch swimming after a ball. Unknown to him there was a small sign up at the rangers office warning people not to swim and keep their pets out the water because of the blue algae...apparently it killed all the fish too. Anyway one died and the vet managed to save the other but it was touch and go.

Sorry to hear about the loss mate, he looked a belter.

My girlfriends old man had a Fell terrier die not too long back due to it seems the exact same problem, the vet said then it was a failed kidneys.

SHe had no other problems, then over 48 hours she wouldnt eat and had to have her put down as soon as the diagnosis was given.

So sorry for your loss. It's gutting when they go so quick you haven't time to get used to the idea. And he was a lovely looking dog. Sounds like Lepto to me too. One of the most sneaky diseases, an absolute b*****d.

Your post has reminded me that my pup which I got at 8 months should be jabbed. I know it's cold comfort, but I thank you for that anyway.
