My brother was in Canada on holiday a few year's ago, and was swimming in a Lake that turned out to be infested in Rat pee, next day he was in intensive care fighting for his life...and remained in IC for 3 weeks eventually he did sort of recover from this, but it has left him with Hepatites C... and a very pail yellow colour due to Liver/Kidney dammage, and un-able to work. Very sad to read you lost you Dog.
