well tim, i am sorry to hear about your loss, from what i was hearing she was a very good bitch, especially on the larger tackle. i am glad i got to see her run in the cup that day. If its any small condolence i have wrote about her coursing ability in the next lurcherbook and planned on putting a good pic of her in too.....thats if this is ok with you....at least it happened out in the fields mate, doing what she loved. When something like that happens to a dog you love , nothing can make up the loss only time, but please dont give up on this fabulous hunting life of ours, i hope in time, you will get another pup and, although it will have big shoes to follow, that your next pup will be as good as lil.....all the very best for the future.....JD :good:

I was there when this happened we were on some permission I have, it was a perfect day and good gound where I have seen hundreds of courses day and night and never seen as much as a scratch!? Unfortunately its one of the pitfalls of working your dogs, I have never seen it before and may never again but I know that it is always possible no matter how good the ground your running on is. If your dog runs with all its heart and gives you 110% everytime the risk is always there.

Tim you know how I feel I am truly gutted for you, we all know she was a special dog especialy the way she dealt with her first big one that night we had on the same ground. She was a credit to you mate, RIP Lil ...

Sorry to hear about your girl there [bANNED TEXT]. No matter what side of the pond you are on, the loss of a truly good hound tears at a houndsman's heart. She looks and sounds like my girl and I think that is why her story pulled a tear from my eye as well. All the best to you. Time will help and her memory will stay with you and those who knew her the rest of you life.

Such a sad story tim, but by the sounds of it you loved her very much and she had a good life, i guess one of the only things you can take from this is that some people go a whole lifetime and never have a great dog like that, although you only shared two short years with one and other you have to cherish the time that she blessed you with.
