How do you tell with a MK1 which transmitter you have??? 1014 or 1009 or ???

I'm tying to find a transmitter battery cap and need to know... the transmitter is redish/brown if that helps ( I know that electronics people love colour coding) and it came with a 15' MK1 Box

Thanks

Yeah thats what I wanted to know... I went to the local electronics shops yesterday with the one battery cap that I have and they just turned me away saying they didn't have anything like it... so I thought I'd ask here... so thanks

if you mean the collar?, simple a 15ft takes 2 batteries, an 8ft takes one

Thanks stubby... But seeing as the two collars I have came with two boxes (an 8' and a 15') and the battery cap was loose in the box. how do you tell which is which... is it colour coded or will finding out be trial and error??

PS I tried to ask the guy I bought it from but he's uncontactable

Yep... Wild Brumby... it was a cull... poor thing was a mutant it had a giant head on a spindally body. It was on Cape York Peninsula at a property just out of Hann River. I took the shot with a Hoyt Razortec at about 15 yards (took me about 90mins to stalk up on him). the arrow took out his lungs but he still ran nearly a kilometer before he dropped... that was the real hunt. That week I was also going to take my first buffalo or a wild bull, but I got called back to civilization before it could happen so I had to wait until the next year. :victory:

i dont know if these fit the exact same model as you have, but it might be worth contacting the seller & ask him.

to me it looks like one will fit a 8ft & the other will fit a 15ft collar..

Oh! I was gonna ask if it was one of those wild aussie horses cos I looked at your gallery and saw you had some    from people

Are they considered a pest in Australia and Is shooting them particularly controversial over there or is it seen the same as controlling any other pest?

sorry to be nosey but was just interested cos of the reaction your pics have provoked on here

Yeah they are a pest just as destructive as pigs and goats... There is no controversy in shooting or hunting them like any feral animal here there is a strong desire to get there numbers under control (parks and wildlife shoot them from coppers in the hundreds) because they push out the native fauna and have destroyed native plants and habitats... sorry to have offended the sensitive souls with my pics but you can't please everyone... and remember before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes that way your a mile further a way and you have their shoes!!!
