hi all, just wondering how you make/do the springs on the door. a close up picture of the spring mechanism would be a great help and which way would should the door close. outside down or inside up? if you get me?!?!

The spring sits at the end of the hinge bar and is stapled to the cage frame and then to the door.

 

The door springs upwards (inside to out). Your split perch is the trigger mechanism.
