harris hawk

hi there people im just getting back into birds of prey wanted to no if it is poss to keep a harris hawk in a 8 foot by 8foot shed with cut out window panels. i ask shed cause i had a owl stolen they just cut the wire easy

nothing wrong with that mate but i'd put it on a hard base like concrete or slabs, remove the wooden floor altogether

my brother has a harris hawk, in a 8 by 8 shed, concrete floor, seems to be happy enough in there, and plenty of room

if your bird is gonna be freelofted i would put a solid base down but if the bird is goin to be tied to a bow perch at any time in the mews i would use pea gravel on the floor to try and save his/her talons from gettin blunted all the time.....just my opinion though
