:wallbash: Same old shite about Hancocks being useless.I have a 3/4 greyhound1/8 beardie 1/8 border bitch out of COPPER and LUKE and have had her 5 years and can quite honestly say i would match her against anyone of the hancock bashing fraternitys dogs. She has done Everything and i cannot fault her and the best bitch i ever had was a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie from hancock and beat all and sundry for years around here even taking 4 out of 4 hares twice. At the end of the day you get out them what you put into them and i have had dogs bred from WORKERS and some were decent some were useless but that is true for all breeds is it not?
end of the day why put a post up thats going to cause the same old slanging match about handcock their are other collie x greys out their if prepared to give the time to look, and wait.hancocks not the only breeder maybe the only one with a name.but even still you could get any x of dog and make it work given the time and effort .just because you get a certain dog dosnt mean it will go out work and fetch the rabbits home for you.or we would all have them in the kitchen cooking 2 and that would save on the women hassle as well

tiss all true i feel this thread is just another reason to give somone a bad name .when at the end of the day their are collie x out their i even gave the guy a number for one .now we have another hancock bashin its been done so many times .the seasons nearly upon us have we no new subects to chat over :victory:

Hancocks Collies come from working lines - sheepdogs entail long hard days of work!

The greyhounds he uses are all ex track dogs.

I was more than happy with my 3/4 grey 1/4 border bitch. I knew what I was getting when I bought her.

Id say make you own mind up. Visit the kennels. All the dogs are healthy.

I do not agree with comercial breeding yet I would buy a pup from him again. Really liked him and like the dogs he breeds.

shall i bite the bullet then lads ive no luck finding a lurcher of here .shall i go to hancock or hang on abit i would consider other x but no bull up to 5/6 months old

hi i went to hanCOCK had problem with the training so gave him a bell for advice before i could finish what i had to say he said if it,s your money back your to late i thought he was an ok bloke but that changed my mind pronto if you want a dog go to a dog man not a farmer i wish you all the best

Perhaps that answers the whole Hancock thing? Alot of the people who buy from him can't actually train a dog? Not haveing a personal dig but I think

that is the case with alot of the failures. You admit that you were having trouble training the pup but why call the breeder? Now hancock is a twat and all hancock dogs are shite? If you had no training issues hancock would be great.

Sometimes people need to look closer to home me thinks :whistling:

thats right ooty now how many men breed greyhounds and get a top class litter everytime their maybe one or 2 in eah litter that will out shine the rest.

what i find intresting is this guy starts a topic about hancock because he cant find a collie greyhound ofwhich i gave a number for ofwhich is a good dog .and he never rang regards the dog.and also starts a subject a bout a breeder then dosnt have any input in the subject other than the opening thread  when all that should of been put is i cannot find a collie greyhound .if he wants to ring hancock why ask the worldwide web ring and het on with it lol :victory:

Never ceases to amaze me the amount of shite that gets spouted on this subject and folk continually buy into it...hancock's this and hancock's that ffs! give it a rest...The vast majority of people who buy a hancock dog are satisfied with their purchase thats a fact! if it wasn't he would be out of buisness. The complainers are the one's that have either never owned a hancock or failed miserably in their attempts to train one. A lot easier to blame someone else than look inward at your own failings. What you get when you buy a dog from him is one of a specific type..3/4 x 1/2 & 1/2 etc....if its collie x's your after then pay him a visit ask all the questions you want then make a decision no one is forcing you to buy one. If on the other hand your prepared to take your chances with one out of someones shed and of dubious breeding then again you pays your money you takes your choice...only please please please dont come in here and bleat about how your pups a dud because you bought it from hancock or whoever and its a lump of wood. The fault probably lies with you not the dog....if half the people with opinions on this subject were as good as they think they are then we would have a nation of super dogs!.....its a twisted morality dont you think when a breeder is criticised for PTS surplus stock and the run of the mill lurcher owner will tap his dog on the head with a shovel if it dont live up to his expectations and folk congratulate him for not letting it stain the lurcher gene pool.

very well said .i have never bought a dog of hancock, but have seen a few.and i wouldnt say anything against the man.neither would i want to no why i couldnt train a dog upon after buying it and it not doing a certain task.as you say thats the trainer.how many people buy a dog from somone else then ring them up because it dosnt do what they want.and i ask would any other person selling a dog listen to people wittering on why a dog they bought dosnt do as asked i dont think they would.im sure in this dog game ,its sold as seen not tryed and tested if you want that buy a working dog . :victory:

One of my m8s got a Hancock bred dog out of a local stray kennel's in Durham last year, Its a 3/4 grey 1/4 collie brindle broken coated dog, he had a few problem's with the dog when he first got it, but a year on this particular dog is a very nice Rabbit dog. The dog is just over 2 year's old now so still a bit young really, and me [bANNED TEXT] is considering going down and buying a pup off Hancock. The dog has ear tattoo's and me [bANNED TEXT] rang Mr Hancock and got the exact age and breeding on this dog and he sounded gutted one of his dog's ended up a stray.
