ferret food

hello guys just a couple of questions to ask. i just got a ferret from a previous owner and it wernt being fed propper. so i would just like to no what food would you recomend to put a bit of weight on it. dry food? or meat? thanks and just 1 more how long would you leave a rabbit in a cage with 1 ferret befor it went bad thanks for your help

if you only have the 1 ferret your best bet is to cut the rabbit into 4 and freeze the rest,a 1/4 of a rabbit given at night and any left over taken out in the morning should be plenty and i always have dried ferret food down for mine 24/7 .that combination will soon put weight on your ferret .

is your ferret quite under weight ? ,if possible put a picture up

there you go sue.he doesent look that bad walking round its just when you hold him in 1 place.

he doesnt look to thin ,so i would keep giving him plenty of fresh meat and he will be fine.If he is a full hob (still got his balls ) then they are usually slimmer at this time of the year

like said mate plenty of rabbit /chicken/pidgeon ect all raw fur an all and a bit of dry to...plus the odd raww egg but not to often

thanks guy that has helped me out a tonne i have lerned summert new he is a full hob and he as gt his balls so i didnt no he would loose a bit of weight thanks

I just feed mine meat roughly the amount of meat on a rabbits back leg for each of them feed about 9pm and take the remain's out in the morning

As said aboth him a egg to boost him up a bit not very offen though just crack it into a dish and put it in he will love ittttttttttttt
