Guest JohnGalway
Have had mine (Esk) for more than a year now, worn them day in day out farm work and hunting. Two things, one is the inside lining on the heel has worn away (probably my own fault for buying online and not trying them on in a shop but I never seen them here) and there are outside rubber type strips that have partially come away from the main boot, they won't fully come off I think but they're squeeking a tiny bit which I'm going to have to do something about. All in all a decent boot. I live in an area of Ireland with very rough ground, lots of sharp rock (and I do mean LOTS) bog etc. Quote Link to post
terrier s 123
i thought they were great but can be very slippy under foot if u are in a wet field Quote Link to post
Guest coney catcher99
i thought they were great but can be very slippy under foot if u are in a wet field i have had these for around 3 years they are still going strong butt the grips are shyt and have worn down http://www.wellie-web.co.uk/wa/1/40/1107-M...oots-Tweed.html so its time for a new set im going to get these http://www.muckbootcompany.com/products/ASP-000A Quote Link to post
Neal 1,874
I found the same thing with the tweed ie sole wore out fairly quickly and very little grip on wet grass or mud; I went A.O.T. in them a few times. Have since bought another type with much better grip but also a bit heavier. Quote Link to post
Moorman 1 1,449
Mine went on inside lining on the heel too..................... Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Grubs boots are made by the same company, virtually the same with vibram soles on some of them.. Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
I don't like Vibram soles (if they're the ones am thinking off) too bloody slippy. Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
Looks a nice Boot Ian and looks on par to the Muckboots. when my Tay Muckboots finally meet their maker I'll be on the blower to you for some Grubs. Jasper Quote Link to post
dogman 5
I had these muck boots 4 years ago. They are still wearing well. The only problem I found with them, is when the wellies develop a crease around the ankle area, they tend to split and leak. The easy solution I found to repair this, was a bike puncture outfit kit. This solves all leaks and wellies can last a bit longer, and saves getting a new pair. I have got to say though these are the most comfortable hard wearing wellies that I have owned. Dabhand 887
had three pairs of thease found them good in the feild but very nasty on stones or wet wood or shop floors as i found out crashing in to the crisp sectoin in a tescos garage  Quote Link to post
