glad you liked, that's the problem with a lot of the other pics i have here...sadly theres not many family left to actually point out who is who, albiet some have details written on the back but some go way back. Next job for me is to get a usb slide reader as i have a few cases of my dads old chromachrome was it 64 or something on slide. The idea is to get all the slides and pictures onto cd, unfortunately its gonna take forever :icon_eek:

Thanks for sharing the pictures CC. I inherited a little suitcase full of old pictures when my mum died, some of them we have never identified.

I think the "bubble car" was a Isetta motocoupe plus, to give it it's full name, made by BMW I think. Several similar vehicles were produced at the time of the Suez crisis when fuel really was short.Great one of your mum and dad with the bike! Your grandad does look a bit severe, but most folks seem like that when posing for old slow plate camera's. I bet with that high starched collar and tight tie, he could only just breathe, never mind smile.

right made a bit of a boo boo with me facts there so i've dug out the research i did a few years back.

The pic of my Great great grandfather was taken by a Robt Gilmour at 79 Quarry street, Hamilton.

You can see by the below scan that my family lived at 89 Whitehill Road, the hart family at the top.

The Scottish archive website allowed me to go right back to the 1700's and print of loads of this stuff plus marriage and death certificates of a few of them, pity the same couldn't be said for my other side of the family from the eastend on my mothers side couldn't access much at all about them but will try again soon.
