trappa 517
What did we all think to 87? i thought it was great, all good fights every one. Gsp v Fitch was a great fight, fitch was sssooooo strong, kept coming back when gsp nearly had him 3 or 4 times. Lesnar was impressive too! He is a sheer powerhouse, and pummeled herring big time. It needs a submission expert to beat him imo. Mai impressed me, as did kongo, but his oppo was a potato. Edited August 12, 2008 by trappa

You've pretty much summed it up With his size & power i can't see Lesnar getting beat unless he takes on one of the top submission boys before learning a whole lot more about the game. I enjoyed the Kenny Florian vs Roger Huerta fight as well. Even though its an old un i still have to laugh at the classic Heath Herring clip name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> LDR the fights are put up on the links that have been previously posted a few hours after they take place. If you want to watch them live in the early hours & don't mind pissing about a bit there are live links on justin.tv They crash at times or get taken down but there are plenty of others to switch to. http://www.mmalinker.com/ http://mmavideolinks.to/ Edited August 12, 2008 by Cupid Stunt
Guest joe ox
Not a bad show I enjoyed most of the fights. Iam not sure about GSP though!
gnasher16 30,024
Still not sure about Lesnar myself,he didnt really show anything we didnt already know he had.....freakishly strong and powerful he just seemed to win on pure strength leaning all over his man and controlling him with sheer size and strength....at times he looked lost not really knowing what to do......also we still dont know what his chins like...its going to be interesting to see how it plays out over the next year or so. St.Pierre looked a class act again,as did kenny florian,i thought huerta would win that one.....kongo,s opponent was bordering on an embarrassment, where did they dig him up from ! boy1 1
didnt catch ufc 87, but i hope no one minds me asking in this thread what they think of Fedor Emeilenko, think thats the right spelling, what they make of his fight with tim sylvia, and really how good is fedor?....best around??? Simoman 110
Fitch vs St Pierre was a good 'un and I thought Lesner showed great strength, I think he showed more composure than his fight with Mir. Interesting to see him put Herring on his arse with the first punch of the bout. Florian fought a smart fight to avoid a dust up with Huerta. I'd like to see Penn fight Florian but it looks like BJ with have a rematch with St Pierre first.
FJager 0
GSP was awesome I thought, think we'll see big things from Roger and well Lesner, a good ground fighter is going to choke the living shit out of him, I'm with you Gnasher he looked bewildered at times, didn't seem to have any finishes on the ground.
