If its the collar off me yr on about , no you don't have to buy from Deben.

You can get em from most places pretty easy.

 

I used to throw them after each outing to be on the safe side.

try your local chemist hearing aid batteries the ones with the blue sticky tabs on the back £3.50 for six

Try ebay mate there,s an ebay shop called Buchans Bargains on there nice chap by the name Willie sells all types of watch batteries that will suit all deben collars,i think they,re £1.99 for ten alkaline batteries,i,ll vouch for the quality as i use em in my telemetry twigs on my harris hawks.
