damashaman 1
Well well well, some of you can certainly dish it out but you can't take it that is for sure. What started out as some innocent post about some fell pups, (wow big deal) has turned out to be a slanging match as usual by some below average of intelligence pricks who have nowt better to do as usual than cause trouble. These forums are like "stocks" for people who split hairs and pick flies out of every mortal thing, reasonable explanations are not good enough, because some are just too damn proud, stubborn and indeed bloody minded and stupid to just give a wee bit of grace and common ground. They have no response to the post I gave because they are too stupid, so they have to worm round it and find another angle, pathetic! I don't even know why I have responded because you can't educate pork! I don't know, ignorance is bliss. Quote Link to post

damashaman 1
FRANCOLIN very true, though not entirely sure where your coming from. That is exactly the point, this is why terriers are stolen to order. Litters are very time consuming, expensive to rear, especially from highly prized stock like anything I ever breed is from. Keg did me a very big favour lending me his superb bitch that is of course very well bred. And my dog is so rare it's hardly worth digging too, it took a lot of obtaining and was expensive, I am lucky to own it. That coupled with rising costs of everything HAS made litters the price they are, coupled with the fact I want decent, permanent homes for them, hence the price. I am keeping a dog and a bitch so is keg. The last one is sold now anyway, so that is that. If all good terrier stock was £40 then it would be rediculous to steal them. How many Patterdale litters do you ever see that wont shift anyway hey? They fly out the kennel! Short life expectancies and a hugely popular breed is generally the reason for a healthy market. And another thing, to those obsessed with testing there stock to destruction, you can very soon end up with no stock at all! And bear this in mind also........ In many animal-breeding programs the entire process of selection and management is founded on the belief that performance is inherited. Attempts to analyze the genetics of performance in a systematic way have involved some distinguished names such as Charles Darwin and Francis Galton. But it has only been in recent decades that good estimates of heritability of performance have been based on adequate data. Cunningham (1991) in his study of horses found that only by using Timeform data, and measuring groups of half brothers and half sisters could good estimates of performance be determined. His data shows that performance for speed is about 35% heritable. In other words only about 35% of all the variation that is observed in track performance is controlled by heritable factors, the remaining 65% are attributable to other influences, such as training, management and nutrition. Cunningham's work while limited to horses provides a good basis for understanding how much breeders can attribute to the genetics and the pedigrees. Researchers have studied this phenomena and have looked for new ways to stimulate individuals in order to improve their natural abilities. Some of the methods discovered have produced life long lasting effects. Today, many of the differences between individuals can now be explained by the use of early stimulation methods. I have been doing this long enough, and also producing quality gear for long enough to know what works and does not. The proof is in my dogs, any dogs not satisfied with I buy back money in full when entered at a sensible age!! keep your pathetic jealous opinions to yourself, and thanks for your support people here with a bit more about them, cheers. crowhill 6
"And my dog is so rare it's hardly worth digging too" What does that mean? Quote Link to post
damashaman 1
I would rather produce from it crowhil than let him die. Then I can drop back on his progeny when it matueres. My Russell bitch is the same, never been to ground in its life, but yet has produced some worldbeaters. She is about 7-8 years old. and is about to have her last litter, the pups can all get pleanty of work, same goes for the black stuff. Quote Link to post
