will.f11 24
I have seen a spaniel catch the odd rabbit out ferreting (but the rabbits have to run right into the dog lol) but they make quite good marking dogs. I may be wrong as I dont know much about dogs, but a springer and a cocker are almost the same. and My friend has a very nice working cocker spaniel Quote Link to post

But how do you teach a spaniel to do this kind of stuff? just take it out with you every time you go out and watch it at a burrow it will probably learn to mark burrows it'self you just have to pick up the signs as differnt dogs do differnt things from picking up a paw to starring at the burrow. It's just a case of knowing your dog Quote Link to post
