I have not witnessed him actually vomiting as yet but my vet wont see him until tomorrow. he is only last years kit so shouldnt be to unhealthy but the rest of my ferrets are all a good weight and very healthy. I am starting to be concerned so any help apprieciated. I would phone my uncle but he is on holiday... cheers Will.f11 Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709
Check in his mouth if he is retching as there could be something stuck in the roof of his mouth like a peice of bone, how long has he been castrated ? Please use an appropriate flea treatment if the ferret has fleas, the scratching could be to to a moult , have you noticed a lot of hair in the bedding area Quote Link to post
Guest on the hill
follow all the other advise and then put him in a cage by himself if you can so he can put the bulk back on again without fighting for a mouthfull of food lol Quote Link to post
will.f11 24
I bought him in april and he was castrated. i didnt mean scratching himself but scratching the floor loads. I have checked his mouth and all is fine. I de-flead him a minute ago as he was scratching himself a little bit. The only problem is that I am going away on sunday next week. and am leaving him with people which arent too experienced with ferrets. I have got cat and puppie wormer so witch would be best and how much shall I give him? Quote Link to post

Yesterday I saw him in the carry box(I leave it in the run for them to sleep in sometimes) and he was scratching the floor and then urging. this was at feeding time but after he came up and ate his share Quote Link to post
