NIGHT TIME NETTER 237
Weren't the lads who did the vid from the Ashington area?.. I remember one clip in that video when they were lamping in a thunderstorm!... At the excact time the dog struck at his rabbit the whole field was lit up by a bolt of lightning, great to watch, If i remember right, they show it again in slow motion??? NTN Quote Link to post
valentino 0
imo,.....probably the best videos made,.... good variation of dogs,....well presented,...good lighting.....etc etc and i like the fact that there was lurchermania in the making at the end of the 'vision'...also abit before the video started..showing different dogs etc these videos had a great 'feeling' to them and will probably still be being watched long after others have faded away,... infact i think the first one may have been out in 94,...so thats not bad like,... i was around 10 when the first one was released so have great memories of watching them as a bairn and was always looking forward to more being released.....shame i dont think it ever did....... valentino Quote Link to post

lucky 578
i was only talking about "Lenny the lion" the other day....lol, my mates mother phoned him to come and take his old video collection to his house as she was clearing his old room out, there were 67 hunting related video's in total including the lurcher mania's, we were having a laugh reminising about them....lol, i could still picture the video in my head like it was yesterday, they were and probably still are the best lamping vids ever made.... i also loved another video of that time which i think was made by the same lads ?, it was a ratting video called "Miner"....i loved it.... Guest proudy
Aye they were decent videos they made, shame about the soundtrack though. Think they went overboard with the male singer with the denim shorts & dodgy perm. The lads were from the north east & members of the harelaw lurcher club I believe. Some good footage on the tapes which I bought when I was a young'un. The best dog lads always have been from the north east Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Yes excellent lamping videos, same comments as everyone else, the music and variation just added to the lurchermania appeal .. Quote Link to post

undisputed 1,664
We had some good fun making the purdeys progress one We ferreted and lamped over a Friday night, Sat daytime and Sat night and got 72 rabbits, I have some pics somewhere, Rob Moores Roo was one of the best I have seen for catching rabbits as they exited the holes Dont remember the title...what I do remember was these two little dogs standing rock still on top of the burrows and banging the bunnys as they bolted...the most impressive bit was when one caught the other left it and there was no tug of war between them and it just went straight back to wait for another bunny Quote Link to post
Leeview 791
Nobodys mentioned the winner from those vids MORGAN saluki x picked up and retrieved as fast as it went out, Cleo came in a close second with Possum taking best puppy. Kevin Walker has gone on to greyhounds now, breeding and owning English Derby runners. Had a day out with him and his lad last season, he really enjoyed it and said did nt realise how much he missed the ferreting asking me to get hold of some ferrets for him for this season. to be continued Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
