Nostalgia - Lurchermania Lamping Videos

Me and Chester were talking about these videos today, so I thought Id start a thread about it to have a good banter, I remember watching these vids over and over and IMO they were way ahead of their time, with good quality action clips, editing and some class dogs. Axle and Lenny the Lion were 2 that really stood out, then there was a dog I think it was brindle called Trooper or Gunner? and the black n white collie marked dog that ran out to the side of the beam, nudged the rabbits up and then ran alongside them for a few seconds before timing a perfect strike :clapper: the commentary was a bit hard to follow being in Geordie speak :whistling::clapper: and the music was from the long permed hair and drainpipe jeans era, but these films are something I look back fondly on and maybe this thread will spur some folks to get them out the cupboard, dust them off and watch them again, if they havent replaced every vhs in their house with a dvd player lol which were your favorite dogs and your memories?

one of the first lurcher films i bought when i first started out me and my brother have watched them time and time again excellent it set the standard we wanted to achieve from our own lurchers, as we had no mentor to show us the in's and outs of lurchers and lurcher work we relied on vid's and dvds of old and new as well as books. i enjoyed watching all the dogs work but was most impressed by the blue saluki greyhound gross. would rate the old vids compared to the modern flims produced today, dont get me wrong there's some good new films but they're just footage of people out doing there thing the older films have far more information, alot more to be learn from them.
