SNAP SHOT 194 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Share Posted August 9, 2008 the 22-250 is the min recommended cal for deer in ireland but licences may not be granted on it , .243 is the recommended cal and anything above..... the 22-250 is a poor calibre for the three species of deer that we have here as our deer are of the larger breeds, the .243 will do you proud, just keep your head and keep shots around the 200 yards mark or less.......what part you in mate? and good luck Quote Link to post
