Different people star them at different times, but i would think its maybe better to wait until the ferret matures a little , say around the christmas period if your ferrets 10 weeks now

I would agree with kay certainly not before that mate.There was one guy last week was sticking them down burrows at 10 weeks :wacko:

if your gonna stick them down at 10 weeks make sure its a small burrow and theres allready another one of your ferrets (preferably a jill) down the hole and that the burrow is clear! but not actually ferreting them

Iv got 2 little 9 week old jills and they will not be ready to start until at least december, january

Be patient after christmas give them a wee go and see how they get on and you will know by then if there ready or are too imature .

 

Its easy for guys that have a few ferrets to say be patient but guys with just two young ferrets must be itching to get out but if you take your time you will get the best results in the long run ive always found
