shepp 2,285
If you buy now with no deposit then you'll be in negative equity the day you move in and will see that negative equaty creep up every time you open the local paper. I think it will be two years before prices are on the up again and i think a three hundred grand place will fall to two hundred grand before then. Shepp

Coney 3
I dont know what all the fuss is about !! The answer is simple: Dont go out drinking......... Ever Dont have any type of sociallife : Buy food thats just about to go of its sell buy date or live on beans on toast You cant beat re using bog roll Sell your guns, dogs ferrets etc Swap that BMW for a old pushbike. Finally. by this time you will probably be depressed, ill, a smack head, unable to work, considering suicide and not give a Fu*k where you live, so you can go get your free council house, your free disability car, your free benefits, and all the rest of it. Or you could just ask that pole thats been given that large 4 bedroom detatched house opposite if you can rent a roomof him !

mackay 3,364
Ok, so im earning £370 a week.... Yes its a nice sum of money, but im still un-able to afford a mortgage. I had an appointment last week and i was told if i borrow £,000 on a mortgage, over 30 years my monthly repayments are £530.and it works out im paying back £190,000+ needless to say i told them to stick it. How the feck does everyone else afford it? There's an old saying, rent money, spent money, you'll never see it again. On the other hand the house you buy for £,000 could be worth £400,000 in thirty years, so even with interest you could be up £200,000 or alternatively you could rent at £600.00 a month, £7200.00 a year works out at over £200.000 in rent to some rich landlord, I know which way I'd go. SkinnyMan 11
This is still the same, some banks do a 95% mortgage but you have to pay a higher lending charge! people seem pretty divided at the mo, 50% say buy other half say wait, but if you really want a house just go for it! Do you think you will be staying in the same house for 30 years paying the same payments each month? I doubt it!

Mustelid 143
Difficult to decide whether or not to buy right now if you find what could be your dream house! I've found a partly completed barn coversion, with a dozen stables and five acres. You can live in it, but loads of work needed to complete the project. On the plus side, it would be woth a few quid when finished and great for the dogs now. Me and the other half can get a mortgage as we are both teachers and therefore a good bet to lend money to. The mortgage on this place though would be £1700 a month and for the next few years we would be living on what the dogs can catch... we may fecking starve!!!
