i started with 12 volt motorcycle battery... they were about 20amp too and i have to say, other than the bugger burnin holes in my clothes, it lasted nearly 6 years and only took about 3 hours on the car charger for a full charge and that would do 2 nights full lampin using a laserlite...

I've had enough of wearing my battery pack over my shoulder and having it swing all over the place like Wilf's manbag and was thinking of getting one of those belt packs are they any good or do you need to have a harris like Jenny from the block to keep them around your waist. Even worse than having a swinging battery would be to have my trollies at half mast like a homeboy.

I use theLight force belt pack ,the biggest one the 18ah,it weighs the same as the 14ah,the only thing to remember is to do it up very tight as the weight tends to drag it downwards,I much prefer it to the shoulder set up,I'm nearly 60 and only 5 8 but you soon get used to the weight .
