Its gone tits up!!!!!

Recommended Posts

As alot of you`s know i have recently got my gun back in the last few weeks and everything was doing fine. Well this morning it need a fill so set about filling it and noticed it seemed to take longer than usual but got there to the 190 mark sorted. Two hours later all i hear is wooooooooosh it had completely emptied nothing left in there.

Tried filling it up again with the diving bottle this time it just blew air out from the barrel and the magazine and blew the bolt open . Think all the seals have gone and something internall . Because when i filled it i did`nt hear any leaking and thats a lot of air to leak in 2 hours .

As you can imagine im totally pissed off :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: as it was spot on up untill today. Back to the shop tomorrow will let you`s know how i get on , FV :victory:

Ferrett mine did the same air pissing out the barrell only had mine 3 months i sent it back to airarm,s they said the pressure gauge had blown and also sumit inside the trigger mechainism it took 4 weeks to come back i was well pi..ed off.

Consumer rights here, repair or replace or refund, they tried repairing it so go down the road of replace if they refuse ask for a refund and go elsewhere. If you have any trouble try trading standards.

Well GR many thanks for your kind offer No probs whatsoever FV, if I can help you, i will do my damndest bud! and sean yes you are right the gun has been back to AAs which the shop sent back no problem. This i might add at a loss of £1oo to them as AAs do not honour postage fees. The shop have been very good to me and hope fully we can resolve this matter today.

I just cannot get my head round it why all these problems especially when AAs had just had it 2 weeks ago sorted the previous problem , and gave it a full service. This is why like has been said is this just a problem gunIt is quite possible that THIS particular S410 is, like you say, a 'problem' gun - we've all been here with something in the past, be it a car, fridge or in this case an air rifle. :( . Glad it had a 6 month garantee with it as this would have been costing me extra coin as well as the inconvenience.

Popping to the shop soon so fingers crossed aye cheers guys for all the kind comments yis FV :victory:

No worries mate with the offer of a phone convo - the offer is there if and when you want to take it mate

I thought of this option as i had amanaged to help a mate of mine who needed to re-adjust his S410 trigger and sears (pull weight and 1st & 2nd stages) - we did this over the phone together and he was most satisfied when the trigger was behaving to the best standard he had ever had it working to. Anyway, the offer is there mate, and its a matter for you to decide when the time is right.

All the best,

Grim.

R ight lads good news for a change :clapper: . Took gun to shop today and told them what had happened so we down to the store room for a proper look. The lad who was looking at attached it to the divers bottle and gave it a blast , bingo he found the problem . The very top o ring at the back and the valve top was`nt fully tight. Now he says these should of been noticed on its last visit when AAs said they had fully servied it. Could AAs have possibly nipped the o ring and not tightened the valve properly who knows . The main thing is the gun is holding the air no leaks any were and firing perfectly :) . Yet again good service provided and it did`nt need to be sent to AAs thank f**k. So all in all a result :toast: . Yet again many thanks for the kind replys :signthankspin: FV :victory:

Now Sean, THAT would be a good idea for all, actually?

That way, if theres anyone with a problem, when they look on here, they would get an idea of those dealers who are helpful, fair priced etc, and who are in the readers locality. There would be no need to name and shame the bad or not so good ones - just put the names of the usefull/helpful ones up on here, like?

Spiffing idea if you ask me. ;)

All the best,

Grim.
