stubby 175
no dont wouldnr be good for them it depends how long its dead......if it is stinking some ferrets will die easy way to check road kill or anything else, apart from the smell, is the blood, the longer its beed there, the blacker/thicker the blood goes, so if its still red/thin then its fresh Quote Link to post
para1 11
blackbird just hit my front window be ok to feed my ferrets wont it Funny you should say that,I opened the side door to take the dogs out, and,I had to duck straight away,as a young Blackbird flew straight towards my face.As I ducked it flew past me and into the window at the back of the room.It must of been a suicide job,as,if I hadn't opened the door it would of flew right into it(and it is a solid door-no glass). As Foxdropper said though,it might of been being chased by a Sparrow hawk.................anyway the ferts loved it.............. I think your blackbird is a starling mate. Quote Link to post

will.f11 24
My farmer friend got done for shooting 2 tractor buckets full of starlings with a shotgun and airrifle in his cattle sheds. he got his single farm payment suspended and for his amount of land it was well over 250,000 quids... a month!!! he was gutted but eventually he won his appeal and now has a license to shoot them because they are being a pest on his farm. it took him a few days to work up to that amount of birds but when he got a suprise vistit from DEFRA they soon told him whats what!!! Although i have myself shot a few sparrows in the garden in the past... Herring gull, Black backed Gulls (greater & lesser) are on the vermin list. You MUST have a valid reason to shoot them, but it's the same thing for ANY vermin on the list. Quote Link to post
