Just got back from hols in florida myself and went in a hunting shop over there this shop was the size of a supermarket and i was talking about bow hunting to bloke behind the counter couldn't believe how big it was over there 2nd quickest growing sport over there he told me.I asked what's the biggest animal you could shoot humanely with a bow and his reply was anything from a elephant down :icon_eek: .I bought my [bANNED TEXT] a bow hunting mag over there and sure enough this guy had only shot a hippo with his :o

You only have to look at the ammount of video/dvd thats been produced overthere for years to see how big it is.

A favourite of mine is called Bad 2 The Bone in which they take virtually every species posible from Carp to Bear. Ted Nugent also does some pretty good dvds's as well.

Burnie, the shops over there are my wet dream  wandered round one for hours in a daze :icon_eek: Best known bowhunter alongside Ted Nugent is Chuck Adams Reflex Bows advertising pro-hunter,the guy is amazing  .

Seen bowhunters on DVD take polar bears :o Rhino, elephant, grizzly, hippo etc.Had a few deer myself over the years, nothing quite like taking one with a bow(ranks alongside taking them with a dog).

Was going to book a cougar or bear hunt over there at the end of this year, and the wife was in total agreement :realmad: :realmad: :realmad: so using the money to install a new kitchen and bathroom  .

Hope to book for next year instead, just to maintain the equilibreum at home

Dont forget the Pro Bass shops bullet  would any of you guys be interested in a trip stateside next year sometime?Going alone is no problem to me,but its always nicer to share the experiences with likeminded folk  Shouldnt cost us more than £3500-£4000 for a guided bear or cougar trip including flights from the UK,anyone interested?

Wow, I'm suitably impressed :thumbs-up: The more I see of bow hunting the better it looks, illegal over here though I think. Have only seen coyotes on dvd being shot with bows, takes some skill!

F*cks Me!!! How the hell did I miss This one for so long?! Talk about, " I Did, I taw a puddy tat! " :icon_eek: FFS!

Thing that catches my eye here though ~ considering we have some over sized pussys over in uk, and not all of them being around Portsmouth ~ is that everyone and his uncle who wishes to disparage such a notion bangs on about how Dogs would find / flush them. Hunters would see them. Oh yeah?

He was up about 30-35 ft in a good size tree.

And how many british hunters and their Dogs go around peering 30 - 35 feet into huge trees to find one? Enough to keep the hairs up on the back of ye neck, when ye think about it. There's us, scouring the horizontal middle distance for something to go after. God knows what could be staring down, considering wether to go after us

Anyway, cracking Thread Bullet338. Way to go, mate! :good:
