IanB 0
I've only been out ferreting a handfull of times this season, nothing compared to previous years, and was planning on a couple of days before the end of season...which got me wondering, how many of you have called it quits for the rabbiting this year already...? LAMPER 0
Were very fortunate down here to have plenty to go at, once again this season. Weve had no Blank days at all, and to be honest i cant even remember us not gettiong double figures. Were more or less finished now and november was the only month this season that we never either had a doe in kit,or a drummer bolt. There basicaly breeding all year round now . Guest LEARNER
GOING TO THE DALES THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, WILL BE SLEEPING IN THE CARAVAN ON FARM, MIGHT BE A BIT COLD AS IT AS NO WINDOWS AS SUCH, MY MATE AND I ,HAVE THINNED THE RABBITS TO THE BAREST MINUMUN, SO THE 2 DAYS PLANNED , MAY BE THE LAST SERIOUS TRIP UP THERE, UNLESS SOME NEW GROUND CROPS UP, BUT ALL IN ALL , THE GROUND WILL BE LEFT AFTER , TO GIVE IT RECOVERY TIME FOR NEXT SEASON . Guest Jack Sparrow
Hopefully might get a couple more sessions in, been a good season, plenty of rabbits, like lamper says most of my bags have been double figures, its just running with the things where i live, finding it hard to get on top of them, but just about managed it i think, i'll be starting whith the air rifle soon, because unfortunatly my permission has to be kept up all year round, But already looking forward to next season, as i always do this time of year. Guest Geordie
Im not stopping really,my bitch lost too much time in her first season, gonna keep on as long as i can find farmers who want em cleared out. Will probably cut back a bit on what she is doing, but not so much that she cant keep picking up the basics.
