swanhunter 0
I am assuming Swanhunter is a lad , not knowing the kids on here but if theres no Rabbit available at home right now then what does he feed then untill more rabbit can be obtained, mom aint always got a fiver to go up Tesco for mince either in an emergency , my gripe is the parents not taking control of the situation & then the kids are left in a mucking fuddle because there out of there deapth Just a little crib WELL AS IAM 30 I CAN GET MY OWN MINCE AND AS I SAID I WAS MISINFORMED, THERE IS ALWAY PLEANTY OF FRESH FOOD EVERYDAY FOR THE FERRETS Well i didnt quite hear that at 30 you can always look on line nothing stopping you know , so what did previously ? Wean baby ferrets at no sooner than six weeks of age. Ideally they should be separated from the mother even later to prevent the developement of bad habits related to premature weaning. http://www.ehow.com/how_2093103_wean-baby-ferrets.html Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709
Basically they should be fully weaned by the time there 8 weeks old, so between the ages or 3 weeks & 8 weeks is when they start to take less milk & more solid food , wean means take less of, in this case milk , not stop milk at 8 weeks & expect them to go from that to meat in one go Quote Link to post

The one 8,483
I think you should have been putting in a rabbit a day from 3 weeks to help your jill feed the young ,i cant see how she can produce enough milk to feed 5 week old kitts on dry grub ,but as said before whats done is done .Try putting in meat every night and building your jill back up Quote Link to post
