sue 1
chatswrth should be blacked for not holding puppy classes all i can say is give them all plenty of fresh meat every night how old befor thay can eat meat i was told 8 week's, there still feeding only off the jill but i will still give her all the meat she needs you should have done a little home work before breeding ,the kits will start eating meat from about 3 weeks of age usually before they have their eyes open .no wonder mum is looking thin trying to feed all the kits .give fresh meat every night and if its all gone put a little more in the next night Quote Link to post

stubby 175
Im not going to start saying that dry is no good, as I use it myself, but only as a supplement, a jill and 5 kitts in my eyes be getting at least half a rabbit per day, 7 days a week, any that was left (normally none) would be removed the next morning, its amazing how quick, flies will lay eggs on raw meat, therefore having meat only in the hutch/court in the hours of darkness greatly reduce that, Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
make sure you dont loose the jill , she may become ill after feeding them totally for 5 weeks, have they actually eaten any kibble Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
I am assuming Swanhunter is a lad , not knowing the kids on here but if theres no Rabbit available at home right now then what does he feed then untill more rabbit can be obtained, mom aint always got a fiver to go up Tesco for mince either in an emergency , my gripe is the parents not taking control of the situation & then the kids are left in a mucking fuddle because there out of there deapth Just a little crib Quote Link to post
