Kay 3,709
well leaving a rabbit in for 2 days in this weathers asking for trouble, probably food poisoning they died from . meat should be on offer everyday , at dusk & remove in the morning Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
I had the same thing, mine were just over 5 weeks old, seemed healthy then one morning 2 dead, I also used to feed dry food and a bit of rabbit, but i did only leave the rabbit in for a couple of hours in the evening, the other 5 grew up perfectly healthy so don't know what it was that caused it. swanhunter 0
you think, i have always done it and when i say 1 to 2 days your talking more a day and a half depending on work Edited August 5, 2008 by swanhunter Quote Link to post
Kay 3,709
Well if its fresh in the first place & frozen on the day its caught or fed straight after its gutted then it shouldnt be a problem, not worth leaving it in the cage more than overnight , if bits have been stashed & later found & eaten then that could also be whats happened Quote Link to post
