stubby 175
who has the smallist ferrets with small hobs with them i think there better small like weasels than otters also might wont to buy some cheers you lads should really use the spell check button, and a bit of punctuation would be nice who has the smallest ferrets, I think their better being small like weasels, then others also may want to buy some I bought a couple of silver jills from magwich 2yrs ago, bred them last year, and then bred the resulting young jills this year with an outcross, out of 28 kitts this year, I have one jill that I call runt, as she is a wee little thing, and I thought she was, just a runt, but after chatting with magwitch, realize it could be one of his small lines, re-appearing after skipping a year I'll put some pictures up later Quote Link to post
The one 8,511
Sorry not for me i like a good sized jill Quote Link to post
The one 8,511
cant see your small ferrets bolting 30 rabbits a day it would burn them out ,they wouldn't have the pace to last and a big buck in a dead end Edited August 5, 2008 by The one Quote Link to post
fireman 10,995
I have a couple of hobs that are as small as my jills(same size but slightly chunkier),but they don't allways produce small stuff.Saying that i have a tiny hob in my latest litter that i will be keeping back, the rest of the litter all jills are of a uniform size but not big though.Takes a bit of time to get a strain small and breeding true. Guest ripstop
Ive got 2 small jills and both canny at bolting, but one has the knack of keeping the rabbits in stops, if getting the run around in big warrens. ive just bred to a larger albino, and hopefully ill get some decent inbetween sized hobs from the litter, to keep them going. rabbit tourmentor 29
have you ever seen a stoat hunt they got tons of stamina so i think it should be the same as a small ferret just my opinion having said that iam working mediam ones at the moment with no problems but the smaller ones are my preferents Quote Link to post

ferretville 69
have you ever seen a stoat hunt they got tons of stamina so i think it should be the same as a small ferret just my opinion having said that iam working mediam ones at the moment with no problems but the smaller ones are my preferents Stoats are`nt doing 100 + hole setts all day you need a good team of ferrets to be tackling large warrens . Even 10 ferrets down setts like that have got major graft to do. You need ferrets that are strong , fit , full of stamina that are going to last all day. Size wise they all have there use`s but personally i prefer a larger ferret , but thats just me . Personal preferance at the end of the day as long as there doing the job ya got no complaints . mole trapper 1,694
Rabbit tourmentor, your name fascinates me, could we assume from it that when rabbits go on tour you are their mentor ?, where do you get a job like that. Are these touring rabbits that you mentor famous, are they a coney take on the pussy cat dolls. Quote Link to post
