Dove meat

Recommended Posts

I've been invited to clear some doves from a local farm, we had a look today on the way home from being out with the terriers and there's bloody loads of em. Is the breast meat worth bothering with or is it just ferret jock. I can't see it being much different from pigeon breast except smaller, but if anyone has tried it I'd be interested to know what they thought.

i wouldnt eat them myself i know sum1 that eats a few only the nice fat ones the rest are fine for the old ferrets :D

I will disagree with you there mate. I know of ferrets which have died shortly after eating feral whether it was from the diseases from them or coincidence i dont know but i certainly wont take the risk ;)
