Does anybody have Shotgun informing forms

i got told by the fo that you can get forms to send off the to them to inform them when you by a shotgun does anybody no were i can get them lol he left that bit out

I have always just written them a letter, either for SGC or FAC and it has always been ok.

Simple handwritten letter.

Name, address, cert number

 

have purchased , borrowed, etc shot gun serial number XXXXXX single barrel 12g baikal from

 

rfd number, address on date xx/xx/08

 

or license holder

name, address cert number on date

 

signed

XXXXX

 

 

Then send to.

 

FAO firearms administration team at your constabulary that deals with it.

 

Thats all you need.

They will accept an email as notification of purchase and if you ask for a reply, you've got confirmation of receival, easier than recorded delivery.

Dicehorn has it in one...Thames Valley do a simlar thing...probably on their website.

 

My region INSIST on Registered or recorded mail for info such as this.......I asked about email notification around a year or so back and they flately refused....may have to ask again to see if they have advanced as far as the 20th Century yet!!!
