Lucy 0
My friend has a 16 month old lurcher that finished her first season four weeks ago. She still has mammary development, but is not actually running milk. Does anyone know if this is 'normal" after four weeks and/or if there is anything she can do about it. She's not been worked during her season, but has been exercised alot. Quote Link to post

No - definitely not been near a dog, although she lives with a couple of castrated dogs. And she's had no weight gain either and is in excellent condition... Would you expect weight gain with a phantom pregnancy? Not had much experience in this area before... Quote Link to post

Not had much experience in this area before... my bitch last season had a phantom she didnt have much weight gain a little and became more snappy to other dogs and around food . and she started to produce milk 5 days prior to due date and stopped a week later. and if your bitch is with 2 spayed dogs they will still try and mount giving her the same effects as being bred Quote Link to post

But, I haven't got any of her at the moment. She's a nice looking bitch though. Quote Link to post

Lennard 10
Mine does every time after heath. Swelling of "boobs" and wants to dig in gardens and the furniture and stops eating when it takes too long...whole process takes 5 weeks or so for mine. Seems to get less with her age.
