Mad Dogs & English Men

Had an invite from ferrets123 with deepdig, mash, daz the mad ratcatcher and a couple of their mates for a bit of ratting on ferrets permission, a large farm with cows, sheep & turkeys, as well as a shoot.

We started off around the cow byers but it was quiet and though there were rats there they didn’t want to bolt. Headed off to the release pens where there were usually rats, but again, it was very quiet. We did manage a couple of bunnies there though.

Dogs headed off across the fields, they knew where they were going, off to another spot that usually held rats. This time it looked a bit more promising and the dogs started to mark the rat holes. They got 6 rats here.

The morning was spent mooching about but the real sport started at mid day when the farmer started to move the bales……

Daz & deepdig disappeared round the back of the bales to close up some holes theyd spotted - the rats were falling on top of them and crawling over their shoulders  Daz actually seemed to like it, but Im not so sure about deepdig :11:
