Guest oldskool Posted August 3, 2008 Report Share Posted August 3, 2008 i always used the old faithful winchester .22mag round with great success but the latest boxes dont seem to have the same solid tip on them.... i could always bring a fox down with a chest shot from about 70yards but now, with these new rounds, they aint fallin over even within 40yards... i tried cci rounds with the hollow point but i think there actually worse... can anybody recommend a good .22mag round??? Guest oldskool Posted August 5, 2008 Report Share Posted August 5, 2008 cci .22mag are as hollow as you'll get frankie.... i'll get a few pics up and show you the new rounds i bought yesterday, their the ballistic tip from remington cci on the left then winchester then the remington ballistic tip, i have'nt tried remington yet but at £16 a box i'll wait to the others are used up before i go resetting the scope... i was hoping for a cheaper round like the old winchesters with a solid round head instead of, what seems to be, a softer lead head...
