paul the poacher 2
WELL THERE WAS A STANGE SILENCE AROUND THE KENNELS THIS MORNING........MOST MORNINGS WHEN I GET UP AND TURN THE RADIO ON IN THE KITCHEN, I GET A RESPONSE FROM ONE OR TWO DOGS IN MY KENNELS THAT ARE ABOUT 70 YARDS FROM MY HOUSE, JUST A LITTLE BARK FROM THEM, I SUPPOSE THERE JUST LETTING ME KNOW THAT ALL ARE WELL, AND WAITING TO SEE ME. AS I WALKED DOWN THEY STILL DID NOT BARK.....AS I LOOKED IN EACK KENNEL EACH DOG STOOD STANDING THERE AND WERE SHAKING THERE TAIL. AS I CAME TO THE CENTRE KENNEL I NOTICED SOME THING BLACK ON THE GROUND, AND I SAID TO MYSELF WHAT THE f**k IS THIS... IT WAS MY GOOD OLD DOG "BUTCH" STONE COLD AND DEAD.......HE HAD BEEN SICK FOR A WHILE WITH CANCER , THE LAST FEW DAYS I HAD BEEN FEEDING HIM IN HIS BOX LIKE A LITTLE BABY, WHEN I PICKED HIM UP AND HELD HIM I TAUGHT HE MIGHT MOVE SO I COULD GIVE HIM A RUB AND LET HIM KNOW I WAS HERE TO FEED HIM, THERE WAS NO MOVEMENT FROM HIM... I PLACED HIM BACK DOWN ON THE FLOOR VERY EASY AS IF NOT TO HURT HIM, WHEN I WALKED AWAY I FELT A DROP OT WATER ON MY FACE....I TAUGHT IT WAS STARTING TO RAIN, BUT THEN I RELISED IT WAS NOT RAIN BUT A FEW TEARS COMING FROM MY EYES.....I HAVE BEEN TO FUNERALS AND NEVER SHED A TEAR IN MY LIFE ,AND HERE I WAS TO DAY UP SET OVER A DOG, I GUESS HE WAS JUST ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS THAT I KEEP IN MY KENNELS AND NEVER NEW HOW MUCH JOY HE GAVE ME TILL TODAY. lost a dog to ground mate couple of months back only shed a tear when i had to dig the hardest hole iv ever dug for him no shame in crying mate just shows you have a heart .all the best R.I.P Butch.
