Guest Frank
I e.mailed deben today, about my MK 3 being 2 ft out in depth, but spot on over the ferret. They told me to send it back to them, but i have a feeling, that they will flog me off with some excuse and tell me they found nowt rong with it. Anyone else had dealings with them about MK 3s? stubby 175
got shown how to use the mk3 today at the NFR day, and must say, had I had one myself I would have been using it wrong, and maybe thats what alot of people are complaining about, as not fully understanding how the thing works, on search mode(16ft distance) you can "home in on the fert" once done, switching to locate, this is the bit some may fine confussing as the LED will show 8ft/6/4/2 etc this is NOT the distance down of the ferret, but its saying the fert IS WITHIN 8ft or 6ft etc the fine tune dial is then turned on to find the exact depth and location, if some people are using it without the fine tune, then the LED shows 4ft and digging down they find the fert at 2ft, immeditatly think the mk3 is buggered when what its really saying is the fert is within 4ft, NOT at 4ft, the fine tune MUST BE USED to discover the correct depth if you already know all that then maybe the mk3 is f****d but if not, try that first before sending back to deben Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Well said Stubby and i was ment to mention this before, which i also discoverd, but forgot to say. I too, was thinking it was Fecked, as i was getting 4ft and breaking threw at 2ft . But, after discovering what the fine tune botton was for, i ate my words. It is a good bit of kit the MK 3. Frank.
