Canberra Stu 0
No offense to the rest of you all on the board... I'm learning heaps from everyone here But I would really enjoy making some contacts in my own hemisphere... and discussing local issues. Perhaps one day this board may even have special sections for different countries outside the UK and Europe (that can be accessed by all members) to provide some local flavor... For instance in Australia we hunt feral animals (pigs, goat, deer and rabbits) with Guns, Bowhunting, or dogs (and a big arse knife when chasing pigs) so our forum so our section would include areas for those guys and girls. the main thing is that it shouldn't be a separate site just another section, as there is lots of great info and advice here... and after all a ferret is a ferret and they behave pretty much the same in any country... but local conditions and knowledge is different. anyway cheers and beers on this lazy sunday

MarcusOvDarlo 0
But then we would have everyone going... " What about english" " What about scottish" "What about irish" (No offence to the rest but thats the main 3 on here not including Aussies.) Malt 379
There used to be a Bowhunting section on here I believe, but it was taken off due to lack of use. Not a bad Idea about having a section for hunting outside of the UK, maybe a 'Hunting around the world' section, because there are quite a few members from outside of the UK on here. If enough people show an interest, it might be worth contacting the admin & enquiring about starting one.
Tallyho 181
there must be aussie hunting forums you could go on ????
MarcusOvDarlo 0
there must be aussie hunting forums you could go on ???? As i said before i don't think it would be far to place a Aussie forum without irish scottish etc. Don't mean to sound snappy but... This isnt a forum for seperate countrys is it? its a forum for all.

This isnt a forum for seperate countrys is it? its a forum for all. It is a forum for all, but hunting varies from county to county, often with different laws, quarry & practices. I think it would be a good idea if we had a section dedicated to the different types of hunting. For example, I'd love to read about people working badgers with dogs, on the continent, or hear tales of shark fishing off the beach in Africa. Yes there probably are other forums out there, but what would be wrong having a thread on here? You don't have to read any of the threads, it's not compulsory to read them all. And Marcus mate, you've been on here for 5 minutes, and you're telling members to go away and find other websites. Have you considered that you might be coming across as slightly rude? comanche 3,038
Please don't chase the hunters from abroad away to their own forums!. I'm really interested in the foreign way of doing things and I expect others are too. I know that laws and hunting styles are different in many places but like it says on the packet ,"as long as the practices are legal in the relevent country etc... etc." and this is made obvious in the post there is a lot of information and entertainment to be had from multi-national forums. Canberra Stu 0
Cheers everyone, I wasn't trying to Alienate anyone... As I said I'm learning heaps and would miss the international input to questions and debates... I just thought it would be nice to have a space where people from the same continent meet up and chat... and if justified why not have country oriented subsections?? I think that would really highlight the truly international flavor of the forum... anyway it was just a thought for the list owners... I'm happy enough with the current state of play. Yes, Fair enough a forum for diffrent types of hunting but i'm saying not JUST Aussies. Like ive said above 2 times. Scottish, Irish, Welsh and so on. If they were involed in the forum as diffrent hunting types then it would be a cracking idea, As id also like to read about diffrent hunting types over the world. And i didn't tell no one to go away, Maltenby said there must be an Aussie forum you could go on??? Not me. And he might not have been meaning it in a way to say " Go away " he ment of ment... to go on aswell as this site. Which is what i thought he ment when i replied the " " Reply.
