roybo 2,873
had a bitch from a mate of mine a few years back 3/4 patt 1/4 whippet ,always just used her for bushing ferreting marking etc. would never go to ground which is great when your out ferreting bushing,or so ithought :realmad: Took her for a stroll near my house, with my lad,she ran through some brambles, scenting the ground, when all of a sudden she's gone calling her i heard a faint barking near the brambles I walk over to check she's not caught up and notice a hole putting my ear to the earth, she was baying like a good 'un oh f**k!! By this time it's about 730 pm and i'm calling her all I could hear is bay-bump-bay-bump. Thinking about getting the spade when on top of the bank old chalie goes running off into the distance closely follow by my bitch, unfortunately missing him,but at least she was out Little swine had never showed any interest in going to ground before, and thought i had a reliable little bushing dog so never collered her up, thankfully she only had a few scratches, better start keeping her on a lead hope the young un I'm bringing for next year takes her lead Roybo Quote Link to post
