Jim Grant 4
In the early nineties my son was at Uni in France and playing rugby for Coloumbes. Some of the rugby boys were keen shooters and took him out a couple of times. Anyway he bought a working poodle and brought it back to the UK. After quarantine I got lumbered with it. At that time I was running Labs, setters and ESS in Filed trials. I stuck this wooly thing in with the rest on the pups. It was not unlike an Irish Water Spaniel, and ended up about25/25ATS. Loved the water, never cast its coat and had a very soft mouth. Never had a bad day out with that dog. It is now retired but fit and healthy. Reckon you could have crossed it with a grey or a lurcher. Certainly would have given the grey some brains. Edited August 5, 2008 by Jim Grant Quote Link to post
