i aint wounded a fox for a long time but it does happen. i just shoot within my capabilities. to minimize it . but overall you must agree shooting is more effective than running with dog's[ which i have nothing against by the way] but if you are involved in game or conservation.. shooting is the best way of gettin rid of foxes. :gunsmilie:

AT THE END OF THE DAY UNLESS YOU ARE HUNTING THE SAME GROUND AS THE FELLA THAT STARTED THIS POST THEN WHY DO YOU CARE WHAT HE KILSS HOW OR WHEN. IT JUST PUZZLES ME. I USED TO GET ANNOYED AOUT PEOPLE CHATTING ABOUT KILLING CUBS AND HARES IN SUMMER BUT THEN IT HOUGHT TO MYSELF I WILL JUST WORRY ABOUT MYSELF AND FORGET ABOUT WHAT OTHERS DO OR DONT WITH THEIR DOGS. I STOP HUNTING LAST NIGHT IN FEBRUARY THEN I FISH AND WALK DOGS GO TO SHOWS TIL THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST THEN I START AFTER FOXES AND THEN START TO FERRET LATE SEPTEMBER. BUT THIS IS JUST MY WAY I DONT CARE WHAT OTHERS DO ITS OUT OF MY CONTROL AND NONE OF MY BUSINESS. :wallbash:

I think Its more a matter of respecting your prey. Sure this guy wont affect my hunting for the season but as a hunter you have to have a bit of respect for the animals we hunt. In the cases of pest control then fair enough, this cant be helped as you may lose permission if the problem is not sorted. Too many people though are using this as an excuse to get out early and get their number count up ( because after all its the amount you kill that matters isnt it? ) . to go out and lamp a 4-5 month old fox and be delighted with yourself and your dog shows a lack of respect and sense in my opinion. Give our quarry a chance , another month will make a big difference and may better test your dog.

i dont agree with killing cubs you should wait till there fully grown. And shooting a fox is an absolute crime i dont see the point. Run them with a dog give them a chance and its more of a sport.

THE ONLY c**t THAT SHOOTS A FOX IS SOMEONE WITH A SHIT DOG

HAPPY HUNTING LADS

well i do both but love a good run at a fox with the dog would rather see that but if they are cosin trouble, well they need to be shot IF ya cant get them with the dog , guns are the last resort but the pricks that just shot them all the time are we fat baldy men that stuck up there own ass to good to get there feet dirty :censored:
