scothunter 12,609
Decided to go out this morning and test out the locator on a few burrows near me.Well as i was walking to the burrows.A woman passes with this pot licking lab."FERRETS"? She barked as i passed her.Yes i said. Then she proceeded to tell me that was cruel.I said whats cruel?Getting them to kill rabbits she said.I never had the strenghth or inclination to even have a convo with her.I just said "aye whatever".I walked on and she then asked to you have permission to be here.Im on a f*****g public right away i said. yes but thats not what your here for. My answer call a cop.I might just do that the old b*****d said.No wonder people are givin up hunting (i wont) but i know where their coming from.I would gladly have belted her over the head with my spade and buried her in a ditch. These c**ts piss me off.Anyway back to the ferts i never bolted one bunny.I honestly cant remember since i was a kid and started the ferts not getting at least one.Maybe locators are a jinx to me lol... The one 8,503
Sometimes bump into them and they start sprouting there crap i just say your on private land theres no right of way and were putting poison down the rabbit burrows if your dog starts shitting or vomitting blood its a vets job straight away ,For some reason they sod off and you never see them again Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
Luckily enough I have never had anything like this happen, I see loads of people when ferreting, I normally say hello or morning etc the odd person ignores me but most are curious what I am doing and seem pretty genuine. Get the funny looks walking though my village with rabbits though lol. I hope it never happens to me as I'm pretty short tempered and would end up doing something I would regret lol Quote Link to post

lurchergrrl 1,441
If I'd passed you I would've asked to come along Once or twice someone has said sommat to me when I'm out with my dogs ... one person said to 'be careful with the dogs there are rabbits here' I just waited till she was gone and carefully aimed my dogs in the direction of the rabbits Better just to ignore them, saves the aggro.
