DnN hes a sealyhamish looking russell but hes about 12 now people who see him say hes an old time sealyham russell i dont no about hes breeding but i do no that hes been a belting working terrier hes not the smartest looking dog but he can work Alot of the sealyhams seen about seem to bare more resemblance to the russel or lucas types. I know of some real sealyhams in the norh east, there breeding programs are very well thought out , and as your dogs breeding isnt known, and he is too old to be given a fair working trial, im affraid i cant help you. samba 534
yes mine come from a bloodline in north east mr thompson and richardson Quote Link to post
chilli 381
yes mine come from a bloodline in north east mr thompson and richardson J thompson no longer keeps or works sealyams, as under his own admission the gene pool was to small & he lost a lot of the gameness over the years . Although he has said he still wishes he had them & knew more about line breeding when he was younger . Quote Link to post
hoosier 58
I have a question to the folks that have experience with the pure bred Sealyhams. Looking through the internet at a punch of pictures, it appears to me that the present day Sealyham terrier is a stockier, bigger dog then the original. Whats your experience with the present day sealyhams in regards to their current size and temperment? Quote Link to post
